The original coating caps on our dishwasher were wearing off from dishes and such rubbing against them all the time, so i bought these. At first, they looked WAY too small for our dishwasher's pegs... However! They fit PERFECTLY once I got them on.SUPER PRO TIPS! Not only should you absolutely have a cup of hot water at hand so you can toss a few caps at a time into it in order to soften them up so they can stretch over the prongs, you should absolutely brush or eyedrop-drip oil onto each prong as you go to slide the tips on. the material being warm, and the reduced friction of the oil, makes it a thousand times easier to twist the caps onto the prongs.Even with those tips, sometimes you will get a cap that just does not want to slide fully on - Leave those until you're done, and then go back to them with a heat source (I have a craft heat gun, but a hairdryer could totally work too) and just blast the stubborn tips with hot air for a few seconds, and wiggle them down gently. Your hands/wrist will get tired if you do the entire dishwasher in one sitting like I did, but it's so nice having fully protected prong tips again, that won't be rust-staining bowls or scratching glasses any time soon.
